I dwl-1222 that rtusb actually occasionally works on Natty with rtsta blacklisted. Newer generation Ralink hardware is now supposed to be supported by the rt2x00 project’s drivers rtpci and rtusb. I only found a description of the hex file yet, and altering this file would only switch between the US and European frequency plan, enable AP mode etc.
